Marie A. Hewitt, of Pembroke, died July 20, 2010. She was 82 years old. Marie was a Campfire leader, and a Cub Scout leader. She was a member of the Pembroke Fire Ladies Auxiliary. She loved gardening, working in her yard, kayaking in the Hobomock pond, and collecting turtles.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas Hewitt. Loving mother of Loring Verry and his wife Kathleen of Pembroke, Varnum Hewitt and his wife Sue-Ellen of Pembroke, George Verry and his wife Elaine of Pembroke, and the late Kathleen Macloed. Cherished grandmother of Vicki Waletkus, Sheri Macloed, Thomas Hewitt, Felicia Verry, and Chad Verry. Great grandmother of Jennifer Ruffini, Scott Waletkus, and Jacob Waletkus.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 25th from 3-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 26th at 11:00 AM at the Center cemetery in Pembroke. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Shepherd Funeral Home at...Read MORE...
