A Nov. 18 observance is planned for Maureen Walsh Rogers, 66, who died Nov. 14, 2006.She was born on June 11, 1940, in Leominster, Mass., to Phillip D. and Elsie (Johnson) Walsh. She married Julius 'Bud' Rogers in Aspen in 1975.Maureen was a longtime resident of Colorado, residing in the Redstone area at the time of her death. She taught home economics in Massachusetts and California. She was part owner of Trivia in Snowmass and Emporium Fabric Shop in Aspen, and served on the water board while residing in Redstone. Also in Redstone, she owned and operated the Pie Plate Café. Maureen was a skilled seamstress and had developed her quilting skills over a 35-year period. Her most recent works are on exhibit at the Aspen Quilt Show at the Aspen Chapel. She had exhibited at many area shows and her works are well recognized throughout this area.Before retiring to Redstone, Maureen lived in Snowmass Village and served on the Town Council there.
