Avis  married  Leslie ROBINSON .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.

Avis was extremely bright, graduating high school at age 16, having skipped two grades. She married at 18 and gave birth to the first of her 6 children at 19. She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and aunt, supportive of her church and other local institutions. She was kind, "easy going," a renown conversationalist, contract bridge addict and all round "good hearted" person. In 1945 she suffered from the accidental death of toddler son Gary, Grandfather, aunt and close brother, Clayton, a Marine who died on Iwo Jima. The birth of Diane 2 years later proved to be her and Leslie's salvation and she went on to lead a full and happy life, spending from 2 to 6 months for 30 years in Lake Wales Florida winters. Unfortunately, she fell victim to Alzheimers in her 70's, remarkably still able to play bridge even after losing her conversational skills.
