Bob Marley, the legendary Jamaican musician, was born on February 6, 1945, in Nine Mile, Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica. His full name was Robert Nesta Marley. He came from humble beginnings, growing up in a rural village with his mother, Cedella Booker, and his father, Norval Marley, who was a Jamaican of European descent.

Bob Marley's early life was marked by poverty, but he developed a deep love for music from a young age. He was exposed to various musical influences, including ska, rocksteady, and rhythm and blues. In the early 1960s, Marley formed a vocal group called The Wailers with his friends Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. The group initially struggled to gain traction, but they eventually found success in the evolving Jamaican music scene.
