raised on New Boston Rd, E. Fairhaven. Oldest of 9 children. Grad. from New Bedford Vocational HS. Mechanic, eventually owner-operator of Gateway Bus Line, Inc. in Wareham, Mass. Worked 23 acres of shellfish grants. Was a Forest Fire fighter and was made Chief of the Town of Wareham Forest Fire and Out of District Dept. In his early years he and friends rode and raced motorcycles-dirt track. He was a champion class racer in New England.
