Initially used in commercial settings, microwaves becomes affordable for home use by the 1960s and 1970s, revolutionizing cooking.

She was the wife of the late Chester C. Parzych, to whom she been married to for 56 years, until his death in 2001.

Sophie is survived by three daughters, Janet Chapdelaine and her fiancé Alan Rusack of Dudley, Barbara Russo and her husband Charles of Dudley, and Nancy Gaska and her husband Ronald of Harpursville, NY; two brothers, Peter and Charles Pietluck, both of Webster; three grandchildren, Randy Chapdelaine, Beth Webb and her husband Elliot, and Stephanie Gaska; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her special little friend, her dog 'Rudy'. She was also the sister of the late John Pietluck and Joseph Petluch. She was born in Southbridge on Christmas Day in 1920, the daughter of the late John and Leonora (Pollack) Pietluck.

Sophie lived in Fabyan, CT most of her early life. She married Chester and moved to Southbridge and Quinebaug, CT, where they lived and raised their family. Sophie was employed by American Optical from which she retired. She was a communicant of St....Read MORE...
