1938 - Funeral Tomorrow of Ronald A. Childs
Northampton, July 5 - The funeral of Ronald A. Childs, seven-year-old son of Mr and Mrs Kenneth D Childs of 59 Coolidge Avenue, who was drowned Sunday night in Norwich Lake, Huntington, will be held at the home tomorrow afternoon at 2, with Rev Eaton B Freeman, pastor of the First Baptist church, officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery, Florence.
Young Childs who fell from a raft into 10 feet of water, striking hnis head on a boat as he fell, was a student in the first grade at Bridge Street school. Besides his parents, he leaves three sister, Dorothea, Ernestine and Mary, two brothers, Robert and William, all at home, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Smith of Florence.
