Edgar T. Trickey, 95 of South Sioux City passed away Monday, September 15, 2014 at a South Sioux City care center. Graveside services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday in Omaha Valley Cemetery, rural Homer with Rev. Jose Miranda officiating. The American Legion Post 307 of South Sioux City will follow with military graveside services. There will be a lunch at St. Paul United Methodist follow the services at the cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Becker – Hunt Funeral Home with Evangelist Edward Treadway officiating a prayer service at 7 P.M. Edgar was born March 5, 1919 in Homer, Nebraska the son of George W. and Emma L. (Harris) Trickey. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the European Theater and saw action in the Belgian Bulge. He moved to South Sioux City in 1932. He married Florence Emery August 12, 1939 in South Sioux City. He was employed on farms in Dakota County and retired from Raskin Packing Plant.
