Johnavieve Walser Is Bride
Two hundred and 50 guests gathered at Calvary Cathedral at 3 p.m. Sunday to witness the exchange of wedding vows between Miss Johnavieve Lyda Walser and Ray Trickey. Bishop W. Blair Roberts officiated. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walser, 2104 W. 18th St., walked with her father, and wore embroidered nylon tulle, the bodice featuring a portrait neck line edged with scallops, and long tapered sleeves. The bouffant floor length skirt was enhanced with an overskirt of tulle with alternate ruffles of nylon cascading down the back. Her fingertip veil of illusion was secured to a lace clip-on hat, the scalloped edge trimmed with pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet of stephanotis, roses and lilies-of-the-valley. Miss Phyllis Trickey, sister of the bridegroom, as maid of honor, wore rose crystallite mads with dropped waistline and bouffant skirt, and picture hat to complete the ensemble. The Misses Margaret Dam and Ruby Carlson as brides-maids, wore gowns in pink similar to that of the maid of honor. They carried sweetheart roses and daisies. Leslie Lamb, best man, was assisted by Tom McKeon and Kenneth Snook, with Murdine Johnson usher. Mrs. Justin Welch was soloist and was accompanied by Peter Johnson. At the reception in the church dining hall, Miss Leona Trickev and Miss Gladys Rains were at the services. The Misses Wanda Troemel and Hazel Biermann served punch and Mrs. Ed Walser Jr., and Miss Linda Pratt the cake. Mrs. Carlan Westra listed the guests and displaying the gifts were Miss Joann Walser, miss Mary Walser, and Miss Mary Jo Lynch. For her wedding trip to the Twin Cities, Mrs. Trickey wore navy with white accessories. She is a June, graduate of Sioux Valley Hospital State College Nursing program. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Trickey, 917 S. Holt Ae., are parents of the bridegroom.

Johnavieve was born June 26, 1935, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Sioux Valley Hospital to parents Henry and Helen Walser. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Ray N. Trickey, happily married for 69 years; and children Katherine (Trickey) Mayer and husband Corey, Michael Trickey and wife Diane, Steven Trickey and wife Sally, Susan (Trickey) Ferrari and husband Martin, Patricia (Trickey) Wesdorp and husband Thomas, Robert Trickey and wife Rebecca, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Johnavieve graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1953. She graduated as a Registered Nurse from Sioux Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1956.
