SOUTHBRIDGE Joseph F. Paquin, 79, of Crane St., died Saturday, Dec. 27th, in the Radius Healthcare Center, Southbridge, after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Pauline T. (Tremblay) Paquin; a son, Robert J. Paquin and his wife Sally of Southbridge; three daughters, Diana M. Bruneau and her husband Donald of Uxbridge, Denise A. Jacobs and her husband Gary of Spencer and Anne-Marie Rubb of Glen Rock, PA; 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Southbridge, the son of Rodolphe and Blanche (Lamoine) Paquin. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.

Joe worked at the American Optical Co. in Southbridge for many years before retiring several years ago. He previously worked for the Southbridge Roofing Co. for many years. He was a member of Notre Dame Church in Southbridge and it's League of the Sacred Heart. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He enjoyed fishing and also enjoyed spending time at the beach.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 30th from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 1:00 p.m. in Notre Dame Church, 446 Main St., Southbridge. Burial will be in St. George Cemetery, Southbridge. Calling hours in the funeral home will be held on Monday, Dec. 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Radius Healthcare Center Activities Fund, 84 Chapin St., Southbridge, MA 01550.

SOUTHBRIDGE - A.L. Rodolph Tremblay, 86, of 60 Charlton St. died yesterday in Harrington Memorial Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 67 years, Beatrice M. (LeClair) Tremblay; a son, William A. Tremblay of Sturbridge; two daughters, Pauline T. Paquin and Theresa L. Joy, both of Southbridge; a brother, Raymond Tremblay of Orlando, Fla.; two sisters, Exena Metras and Louise Meltaus, both of Southbridge; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was born in Southbridge, son of William and Josephine (Maynard) Tremblay.

Mr. Tremblay was a tool maker at Southbridge Sheet Metal Co., retiring in 1970.

The funeral will be Thursday from Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 30 Charlton St. Burial will be in Old Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Restoration Fund, Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 40 Charlton St., Southbridge 01550 or the Dialysis Unit, The Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Hahnemann, 281 Lincoln St., Worcester 01605.
