Niagara Falls Review MacWHIRTER, Calvin E. - Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Beverley for 52 years. Dear father of Brian (Marelene), Wayne (Deborah), Richard (Antonietta) and Pamela Granger (Joe). Step-father of Cheryl (Mark) Shanahan. Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Michelle), Danielle, Robert, Matthew, Tyler, Michelle, Cody, Shane, Jesse, Ryan, Kylie, Jason and Evan and great-grandfather of Makenna. Brother of Shirley McGuire and Gerald (Jackie) MacWhirter. Brother-in-law of Elwyn McGuire, May Turcotte (the late Gill) the late Garnet Dunseith (Betty), Herbert Dunseith (Sandra), Richard Dunseith (Carol) and Irene Sumbler (Roy). Predeceased by his parents Weeden and Eva MacWhirter. Calvin was retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. A special thanks to the staff of GNGH, Unit C and Trillium and especially charge nurse Solveigh. Cremation has taken place. Calvin's family will receive friends at the MORSE & SON CHAPEL of the MORGAN FUNERAL HOMES 5917 Main Street, on Thursday from 10-11 o'clock followed by a service in the chapel. Interment will take place at a later date at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers for those who wish memorial donations may be made to Tender Wishes. Online guest register www.morganfuneral.com
