" MILLBURY -- Ronald E.N. Korch, 76, of 2 Railroad Ave., a World War II veteran and a former traffic manager, died Monday, Oct. 15, in UMass Memorial Medical Center -- University Campus, Worcester, after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 54 years, Norma V.D. (Smith) Korch three daughters, Karen R. Schudy of Branson, Mo., Marilyn P. Bowser of Charlton and Lauren N. Boffoli of Worcester a brother, Kenneth Korch of Webster two sisters, Bertha Wentworth of Webster and Lillian Sweeney of State College, Pa. six grandchildren nine great- grandchildren nephews and nieces. He was born and raised in Webster, son of Andrew and Panna (Rozgonyi) Korch, and lived in Webster before moving to Millbury in 1963. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Asia, the Pacific, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Philippine Liberation.

Mr. Korch was a traffic manager for Northern Telecom for five years, when it was in Rhode Island. He previously was a traffic manager at Dapol Plastics, Worcester. He was a member of Church of the Reconciliation, Webster, and past commander of Charles F. Minney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He was a former member of Dudley- Gendron American Legion Post, Sutton.

The military funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. Burial will be in Central Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, in the funeral home. Charles F. Minney Veterans of Foreign Wars Post will conduct a ritual at 8 p.m. during the calling hours."
