CHARLOTTE ARMSTRONG Worcester Telegram & Gazette (MA) January 27, 1992 STURBRIDGE - Charlotte M. (Korch) Armstrong, 69, of 12 Summit Ave., Fiskdale, died yesterday in her home. Her husband, the late Eugene E. Armstrong, died in 1983. She leaves two daughters, Patricia Talbot of Southbridge and Louise Gauthier of Sturbridge two brothers, Harold Korch of Putnam, Conn., and Donald Korch of North Grosvernordale, Conn. five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was born in Webster, a daughter of George and Mae (Ostberg) Korch, and lived in Fiskdale most of her life. Mrs. Armstrong was a past president of the Champoux-Vilandre Post No. 109, American Legion Auxiliary and was active on the committee for Girls State. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with Rev. Ernest T. Berkeley officiating. Burial will be in North Cemetery, Sturbridge. Calling hours are at the funeral home are from 9 to 11 a.m. tomorrow . In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haven of Hope Hospice, P.O. Aunt Charlotte was my dad, Leonard's older sister. My dad died at the age of 30 from Hodgkin's Disease. My Aunt Charlotte lived in a beautiful brick house in Sturbridge, it was on a hill, her daughter Patty lived next door with her husband and son Lester, Patty had many children. Charlotte had another daughter Louise, Louise had one daughter I recall. When my father died I was only five, I never saw much of the Korch's with the exception of my Uncle Donald after my dad's death, however, I do remember visiting my Aunt Charlotte and Uncle Gene in Sturbridge. Funny how life turns out, I later married and moved to Sturbridge as well. I later reconnected with my first cousin Louise who worked at the elementary school where my daughter Ashley-Elizabeth attended. My Aunt Charlotte died from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
