Cape Codder, The (Orleans, MA) - April 27, 2012 Deceased Name: Frederick Peach EASTHAM - Frederick Benjamin Peach, passed away at home on April 17th surrounded by his loving family. Born July 1, 1923 in Pittsfield, MA. Frederick was a graduate of Manlius Military Academy and also attended the University of Massachusetts after serving in World War II and receiving a purple heart. Having had created a local radio station and programming as a young teen, he continued his career as a radio and T.V. personality at Lovell General Hospital and in the Syracuse, Springfield and Boston markets. Later he became an independent representative in Educational sales, while dedicating himself to raising his family in Wellesley, MA. Retiring to Brewster from Wellesley in 1988, he became a cycling enthusiast, ham radio operator and as a member of the Orleans Coffee Club served as their sound tech. He served as a volunteer working at the Marconi Museum, the Brewster COA, and Friends of Nickerson State Park. He is survived by his wife Nancy (Taylor) Peach; two daughters, Kimberly (Peach) Brown and her husband Christopher M., and Lindsay (Peach) Nicholson and her husband Stephen J.; grandchildren, Kristyn Brown-Moore, Haley C. Brown. Jared C. Nicholson and Justin B. Nicholson; great grandchildren, Aubrey and Callen, the children of Kristyn and her husband R. Christopher Moore. The Peach family wishes to thank all who have expressed their sympathy and to all those who contributed to his care at Epoch of Brewster, Hospice Palliative Care and Nickerson Funeral Home. It is the Peach Family's hope that those lives touched by and appreciative of his generous spirit will "Pay It Forward" in his name. A private family "Celebration of Life" will be scheduled in the future. |
