This is a family gravestone for Lippe/Carmel/Tremblay. My grandparents, Edgar Tremblay and Jeannette Lippe are buried here along with several other family members. I am told that Omer Lippe and his wife Marie Louise Peloquin are also buried here somewhere (but do not have a stone). Omer Lippe and Marie Louse Peloquin were my great-grandparents, Jeannette Lippe’s parents. This stone is located in St. George’s cemetery on Paige Hill in Southbridge.

Edgar (“Ben”) Tremblay was my grandfather. He owned Southbridge Tool Company in Southbridge, Massachusetts (started in 1941). He owned a house on Moon Street in Southbridge. He also owned a camp on Little Alum pond in Brimfield. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing. I have fond memories of him popping Jiffy-Pop popcorn on the stove, lighting massive fires in the fireplace to keep us warm, getting fish and chips at Rom's Restaurant, and having a "récompense" with his brothers every time someone caught a fish (or one got away). Ben was a fun-loving man with a great sense of humor. He was handy, bright and creative. He knew how to work hard and enjoy life.
